The research behind Sense Building

Sense Building and its platform come from research at the University of Cambridge into inclusive design and workplace wellbeing.

How everything started

Our methodology was developed through rigorous research conducted at the University of Cambridge led by Dr. Matteo Zallio and his team, supported by the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie funding from the European Union's research and innovation program. This extensive research involved both qualitative and quantitative studies, resulting in numerous peer-reviewed articles published in top scientific journals and presented at leading conferences worldwide. The insights gained from this research enabled the creation of an innovative methodology for measuring perceptions of inclusion and accessibility in various buildings. This methodology also evaluates the social return on investment resulting from changes made to enhance the quality of spaces. This offers a transformative approach for organizations striving to improve workplace inclusivity and ensure a more accessible environment for all.

"Our research team at the University of Cambridge identified a crucial gap in creating truly inclusive workplaces.
Through in-depth research, we developed a groundbreaking methodology that not only measures workplace inclusion but also objectively assesses the social return on investment. This innovative approach has been transformative, empowering organisations to foster inclusive environments that significantly enhance building users' experiences and drive business success.
Join the ranks of industry leaders who have revolutionised their workplaces with our cutting-edge research and insights."
